About GCDF
We are a UK-based charity whose mission is to improve the dental health of disadvantaged children worldwide
Meet our board members
We are based in London but reach out to the world - here are a few examples how
Establish and fund National Taskforces - what are these and why fund them?
These are comprised of individuals recognised as leaders in dentistry within their own country or region - from the dental profession, government and industry. They come together as a taskforce and work as a cohesive team to devise, agree and implement strategies for the promotion of oral health. They are national champions for the dental needs of children.
Promote Community Child Dental Health Programmes - why?
Mobilising the dental profession and the dental studentship to give back to the community is a win/win situation - an efficient and cost effective way of getting immediate results, especially for underserved children and for encouraging social responsibility and ethical practice within the profession.
Demonstration Projects - why?
Simply because demonstration projects are a proven, cost effective, high impact and far-reaching method of dissemination.
Run Dental Leadership Programmes - why?
Bad leadership equals bad results through poorly devised and implemented plans.
We want to achieve good and lasting results. This means that we are committed to developing good leaders within the dental profession.
Partnerships - why and who?
Working in isolation does not optimise results. This agenda belongs to the whole dental profession. We develop partnerships with dental schools, dental associations, practices and individuals.
We support volunteering because it changes minds and hearts. At the same time, it also helps to meet real existing dental needs.
We want volunteers to become our partners.
