Last year, HealthLink provided more than 7,000 medical and dental visits for a little more than 2,000 patients. If the clinic gets more doctor, nurse and dentist volunteers, it could start accepting new patients again, Crown said. Britain's biggest private dental chain, James Hull Associates, is in talks to sell a 30% stake to a private equity firm in a deal valuing the business at about £230million.

Tooth decay is putting 30,000 children in hospital every year, a study has found.
